βThe painting is grotesque and heavenly at once, so enrapturing that the strokes seem to breathe and the pigments flesh out a drumming heartbeat.
I begin to wonder what it would take to make it disappear.β
Loosely inspired by my time at the University of St. Andrews, Thieves of St Andrews is my debut non-fantasy fiction novel.
Thieves of St Andrews follows an art history student who becomes obsessed with a question he cannot answer: why are some works of art remembered while others disappear?
His search draws him towards three brilliant, reckless students who are equally unwilling to accept an ordinary future. Together, they set their sights on an audacious art heist. What starts as a pursuit of money and freedom soon becomes something far more consuming: a chance to prove that they, too, can create something impossible to forget. But, in trying to make themselves unforgettable, they begin to risk the very things that made their lives worth remembering.
Thieves of St Andrews is currently in the querying stage as I seek literary representation and work towards publication.
In the meantime, you can read the first chapter here!
